Jack O'Bannion was raised in a rather unusual way from other children in Ireland. Born to rather eccentric wealthy industrialists he was raised on a strange mix of Karl Marx, Lenin, John F Kennedy and Eamon De Valera. His mother a rampant Irish patriot believed that the only hope for Ireland was to cast it's support for the Socialist order and seek the aid of the Soviet Union. To that end she instilled a deeply idealized love of communism in Jack at a young age. This love carried over into Jacks formative years in Trinity University where his studies of electrical theory and application earned him high marks and a chance to study abroad. Accepted to Moscow University he continued his doctoral studies and was eventually taped by the GRU to enter a highly secret program to create "super sleepers". Agents with super powers who could be trained to return to the west and integrate themselves into society at large. And when the day came that the Red Army would roll west, these agents would activate and create as much chaos and tie down as many resources in the west as they could.
This of course never came to be, and after the collapse of the Soviet Union Jack found himself adrift in life, with no real drive or direction. Wandering from place to place, seeking answers that could not or would not present themselves. Until at last he found himself in a Boston bar and happened to look up at the television in time to see a televised speech of Red Savior, shocked that there was still a bastion of the society he was raised to love Jack made his way to Paragon and has now joined the ranks of the Young Champions, and perhaps now he has found a place where his heart can sing again.
