But the workers of Paris would not suffer the indignity and so rose up in March 1871 expelling the despised liberals from the city. They declared the Paris Commune and invited all other French cities to declare their independence from the liberal yoke. Blanqui assumed the post of Minister of Science, Technology, and Education and implemented an urgent phrenological research program. Using blunted metal probes, calipers, a small bone saw, and tongs Blanqui was able to stimulate the latent psychic power of his brain. Karl Marx, for all his naivite about organizational issues, recognized that "the tradition of all the dead generations weighs like a nightmare on the brain of the living," and Blanqui discovered that he could ravage the minds of individuals.
At the moment of the discovery, however, the counter-revolutionary liberals, with the full complicity of all of Europe's bourgeoisie, invaded Paris using deceit and traitors. The vaillant members of the Commune fought barricade by barricade but were overcome by the lumpenproletariat armies of the French bourgeoisie. Blanqui joined his comrades to make a last stand in the Pere Lachaise cemetery. There he was massacred with other communards.
However, Blanqui's research must have trained his brain to overcome physical destruction because he did not die--only went into blackness. Blanqui emerged from the abyss as Communard when the capitalist aliens arrived looking for new markets. In addition to his psychic powers Blanqui discovered that he was now able to tap into the power of the abyss.
Since Communard's return he has fought to uphold the revolutionary tradition on the streets of Paragon city. With the comrades of Young Champions at his side the revolution will surely be victorious!
