"Oh no--" were the first words out of Belladonna's Aura's mouth after reading Winter's letter.

The next was a string of curses that would have made a longshoreman stand open-mouthed in envy.

She keyed her comm. "Vickie, we have a jumper."

"Told you we would," came the laconic reply. "Winter?"

"Yep." Bella stared at the note in her hand. "Flame was right. She said he was bad last night."

"I'm on it. Between me and the bots, he can't get far." In the background, Bella heard the rapid clicking of a keyboard. "You take care of the rest of the CCCP, I'll chase the rabbit."

With a sigh, and an increased load of tension and anxiety, Bella returned to her work. She could only hope that "getting far" was what Soviet Winter planned to do. The farther he went, the better their chance of catching him.
